Who We Are?

STACKTECH LLC is a best-in-class Managed Service Provider (MSP) filling the void of providing boutique style IT services that focus on our clients' needs to use technology to drive results. We were founded on the premise that above all else, technology should exist to help us achieve goals in the different aspects of life. The way it does is different for everyone. We get that!

How Are We Different?

After nearly a decade of working in the MSP business, one of the founding members noticed a void that needed to be filled where clients were finding themselves with inadequate services and support.  With a service first approach, in addition to the industry leading technologies we use, we are able to provide a desirable technology and support experience.

Additionally, where many other MSPs lack the skillset to bring game changing cloud technology integration, STACKTECH is cloud technology centric.

What should you look for in a MSP?

If you are reading this section of our website it probably means that you are looking for a partner you can trust to help you drive your business forward.  The following are the top things you should be looking for in a MSP:

  • A proven track record! - This probably goes without saying, however the best technology partners have years of combined experience. However, you also want to make sure they are utilizing "modern" technologies.
  • Cloud centric - You should be choosing a partner that has experience in various cloud technologies.  Many businesses, both small and big, are finding out how the cloud can be cost effective and add major value to advancing you business forward.
  • Support at scale - Look for a partner that has support plans that can scale with your business needs.  This brings predictable expectation in cost and value of service.
  • Fast Response Time - An adequate technology partner should be able to address support issues in a timely manner.  Although certain events can be unpredictable or out of your control, your technology partner should strive for the shortest path possible to resolution to keep your users up and running and your business moving forward!
  • Cybersecurity is a must! - Security with regards to your network, endpoints and servers is an absolute must!  Data breaches and other security risks can cost THOUSANDS of dollars to remedy.  You should pick a partner that utilizes the best security products in the industry and it knowledgeable in cybersecurity.
  • Predictable cost - Your technology partner should be providing solutions that add value to your business.  Technology can be expensive if solutions are not implemented to keep your business safe and productive.  After all, technology should work for YOU!

Okay great!  But, what should I lookout for?

Now that we have covered what you SHOULD look for in a technology partner.  Let's cover what you should avoid.  In addition to the opposite of what you should look for, the following is what you should avoid:

  • No Inclusion List - Your managed service agreement should define all services that are INCLUDED with your MSA (Managed Service Agreement).  While services beyond the scope of the inclusion list are usually explicitly excluded, you should know upfront what services are included in your service package(s).   We recommend steering clear of providers that don't define what is included upfront.
  • Break/Fix - A provider that seems to offer only break/fix is most likely not going to be a good fit for your business.  They often charge by the hour and pressure their employees to identify ways to maximize billable time.
  • No SLA - A SLA, or 'Service Level Agreement' should be mentioned in your services agreement.  Many MSPs offer a SLA based on the level of service package you have chosen to go with.
  • No Planning Services - A worthy MSP should be assisting you with planning your technology roadmap.  If this is not happening, you are most likely not going to experience effective service from your technology provider.
  • Reactive Service - In most cases and if included in your services, your technology provider should be aware of problematic issues BEFORE they cause a problem.  In addition, if you are always reporting problems to the provider, chances are they don't have the appropriate tools in place to monitor for issues that might arise within your infrastructure.
